HEMEH was our first musical project and started more than twenty years ago in Salamanca, as a university friends’ initiative. Rock music has always been one of our major influences.
Spanish rock, especially bands like Triana, Mano Negra, Los Suaves, Platero y tú, Los Rodríguez, Los Enemigos, Rosendo, M-Clan, or Extremoduro, marked our teenage years and early youth.
At the same time, international rock and its various styles, more specifically the music from the 60s and 70s (Funkadelic, Cymande, Frank Zappa, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Can, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, The Doors, Gary Moore, The Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin, and many others), became another cornerstone of our early musical experiences as a band.
Undoubtedly, as we grew older, the influences in our music became increasingly broad and diverse, and 90s rock (which, this time, we experienced firsthand) was also very present: Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, The Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Radiohead, Guns N’ Roses, Alice in Chains, and again, many others.
In essence, we have embraced all this music, and also that which arrived at the beginning of the millennium with electronic influences, as rock, and all this forms part of the music we like to listen to and, of course, our influences when it comes to composing.
What we enjoy the most is making psychedelic rock with electronic influences, to put it somehow.
In 2020, we recorded a couple of commemorative songs for HEMEH («San Pedro» and «Ego is not a good thing») and began a new musical journey with the creation of Barge and the release of four more songs in 2021: «Bye Bye», «Calliope», «Demeter», and «Future». In 2022, we released «First Time»; in 2023 «Spaces» and «Raindrops», and at the beginning of 2024 «Ride», these last three laden with electronics and experimentation.
Throughout 2024, «Supersoft», «Gaṇesa», and «Río Grande» were recorded, returning to that psychedelic rock that has the guitar in the core of the song.

HEMEH fue nuestro primer proyecto musical y comenzó hace más de veinte años, en Salamanca, como una iniciativa de amigos de universidad. Una de nuestras grandes influencias siempre ha sido el rock, así, en general.
El rock en español, especialmente grupos como Triana, Mano Negra, Los Suaves, Platero y tú, Los Rodríguez, Los Enemigos, Rosendo, M-Clan o Extremoduro, marcaron nuestros años de adolescencia y de la más temprana juventud.
Simultáneamente, el rock internacional y sus diferentes variantes, más concretamente la música de los 60 y de los 70 (Funkadelic, Cymande, Frank Zappa, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Can, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, The Doors, Gary Moore, The Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin y tantos otros), se convirtieron en otro de los pilares de nuestras primeras experiencias musicales como grupo.
No cabe duda de que, según íbamos creciendo, las influencias de nuestra música eran cada vez más amplias y diversas, y el rock de los 90 (que, esta vez sí, lo habíamos vivido en primera persona) estaba también muy presente: Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Soundgarden, The Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Radiohead, Guns N’ Roses, Alice in Chains y, de nuevo, tantos otros.
En definitiva, nosotros hemos entendido toda esta música, y también la que llegó a comienzos del milenio con influencias electrónicas, como rock, y todo ello forma parte de la música que nos gusta escuchar y, por supuesto, de nuestras influencias a la hora de componer.
Lo que más nos gusta hacer es rock psiquedélico con influencias electrónicas, por llamarlo de alguna manera.
En 2020, grabamos un par de temas conmemorativos a HEMEH («San Pedro» y «Ego is not a good thing») y comenzamos un nuevo camino musical con la creación de Barge y la publicación de otros cuatro temas en 2021: «Bye Bye», «Calliope», «Demeter» y «Future». En 2022, sacamos «First Time»; en 2023 «Spaces» y «Raindrops», y a comienzos de 2024 «Ride», estos tres últimos cargados de electrónica y experimentación.
A lo largo del 2024 se grabaron «Supersoft», «Gaṇesa» y «Río Grande», en un retorno al rock psiquedélico con la guitarra eléctrico como centro de la canción.
